Why I Transitioned to a Boutique Event Styling Company (And Why I’m Never Looking Back)
When people hear the word "boutique," they often think of small shops, curated collections, or high-end price tags. But in the world of wedding and event design, boutique is a philosophy.
My answer is always the same: Never. I choose to keep my business intentionally boutique, and I do it for you.
But it wasn’t always this way.

Chasing the Numbers vs. Chasing the Connection
When I first started out, I thought growth meant volume. I believed success looked like booking as many weddings and events as humanly possible. I wanted a packed calendar and a booming portfolio. So, I did exactly that—I chased the numbers, booked the events, and ran myself ragged from venue to venue.
But very quickly, the reality set in. I felt a deep disconnect. I realized that by trying to be everywhere for everyone, I couldn't truly be there for anyone.
The heart of why I fell in love with this industry wasn't the sheer number of tables I could set; it was the deep, genuine connections I formed with my couples and clients. I missed the late-night texts about linen textures, the shared excitement over a perfect color palette, and the joy of seeing a client’s face when they walked into a room built specifically for them.
I realized that those relationships meant infinitely more to me than hitting a quota. I wanted to protect that connection. That is why I made the pivotal decision to transition to a boutique model and stop chasing numbers.

What Does "Boutique Styling" Actually Mean?
A boutique event styling company isn't a factory. We don't offer "Package A, B, or C" where you simply swap out the napkin colors.
Instead, a boutique transition means prioritizing:
Limited Commissions: Taking on only a select number of events each year so that each project receives full creative energy.
Bespoke Design: Crafting an aesthetic from scratch based on your story, your favorite spaces, and your personal style—never duplicating a past look.
Direct Access: You work directly with the principal designer (me!) from the initial mood board to the moment the last candle is lit on event night.
Why Keeping It This Way Is the Ultimate Luxury For My Clients
Choosing not to mass-produce events is a deliberate choice. By keeping my calendar exclusive, I can deliver a level of service and design that high-volume agencies simply cannot match.
1. You Get My Undivided Creative Focus
Creative burnout is real, and it is the enemy of great design. When a company takes on three weddings a weekend, the designs start to look identical because it’s easier to replicate what works. By designing only one event at a time, I have the headspace to daydream about your floor plan, hunt down the perfect vintage glassware for your tables, and solve design challenges with fresh, innovative ideas.
2. We Build a Real Partnership
I don't want our meetings to feel transactional. Design is deeply personal. To build an environment that feels like "you," I need to get to know you. I want to know about the restaurant where you had your first date, the textures you love, and the vibe that makes you feel at home. That depth of connection requires time—something my boutique schedule allows me to give freely.
3. Execution Without Compromise
On the day of your event, I am (and my team) are on-site ensuring that every single detail is styled to perfection. I am the one tweaking the floral placement, adjusting the lighting ambiance, and ensuring the linens cascade flawlessly. If I were managing three events simultaneously, I would have to hand that execution over to a rotating staff. My transition to boutique guarantees that the vision we created together on paper is exactly what is delivered in reality.

The Boutique Promise: I don't want to design a hundred weddings a year. I want to design a handful of breathtaking, deeply personal celebrations that your guests will talk about for a decade.
Making the switch to a boutique model was the best decision I ever made for my creativity, but more importantly, for my clients. If you are looking for a design partner who values intimacy, craftsmanship, and the beauty of a well-told story, you are in the right place.
Let's create something magic together!
